Awarded to the winning team of the Live Tapping competition  that runs throughout the conference.

The 2019 winners are Manawatu District Council.

The Sonny Kate Trophy was formerly known as the Sonny Katae Operators Trophy which was awarded to the winning team of operators who competed throughtout the annual conference. 

From 2019 the trophy is awarded to the winning team of the National Live Tapping competition, conducted throught the conference.
