Enrolments Open February 2018

Connexis are pleased to announce that enrolments into the new water treatment plant operator training programmes will open in February 2018.

This new training programme has been developed through working closely with Water New Zealand, Water Industry Operations Group NZ (WIOG), and key industry stakeholders. The new qualifications and training programmes have been developed since the Havelock North outbreak, and learnings from the tragic incident have been integrated into the programme to enable operators to respond more quickly and effectively to adverse operating conditions.

The new programmes are for people who are responsible for the day-to-day operation of water/wastewater treatment plants and will replace the National Certificates in Water and Wastewater Treatment (Level 4).  Read full details below.

We invite water industry operations staff, professionals and consultants, along with representatives from any companies supplying good or services to the water industry to submit an abstract for a paper that may be presented at the 2018 'Meeting Challenges' Conference.

In 2018 you will also have an opportunity to present a Poster Paper at the conference.  This is a great opportunity for you to show case what you have been doing without the fear of getting up on stage.

Nominations are now open for our strategic awards that will be presented at WIOG's 2018 'Meeting Challenges' conference:

• Te Oranga Wai.

 These awards recognise excellence across our operations industry and all come with excellent prizes.  

We have some very capable, competent and enthusiastic people in our industry, this is your opportunity to recognise them, by nominating for one of these awards.

Member status is available to any water industry employee. Additionally, any employee of any company supplying equipment and/or services for direct use in the water industry shall also be eligible to become a Member.
